NARRATIVE. Section II Health. 6- 9. There are no Fiold Matrons here. The only provision is for employment of one at$ 300. per annum. This I have been unable to fiil. Neither of the Farners wives will accept the position, and I have been unable to find anyone else in any way competent who wi11. More district farmers have been recommended, but the office has informed me that it will not be possible to build any quarters In the field, and as there are no quarters horo, and no buildings out among the Indians that could be rented, it is impracticablo to house additional Field Matrons or Farmers. Competent Field Matrons are of the greatest po881 ble benefit and it is to be regretted that this branch of the Service is so far behind here,
